PRESS: F+ tech shows smartphone, tablet on Russian OS Aurora
MOSCOW, Apr 17 (PRIME) -- Russian electronics manufacturer and distributor F+ tech has unveiled a smartphone and a tablet running on operating system Aurora that it wants to put on the register of national products to enjoy state benefits, business daily Kommersant reported on Monday.
A company representative told the daily F+ tech designed a mobile working place for corporate and state sectors on Aurora. These are the Life Tab Plus tablet and the R570 smartphone with a preinstalled antivirus program by Kaspersky and package MyOffice.
The company wants to claim them as a software and hardware complex and join the Digital Development Ministry’s register. “The software content of the software and hardware complex will be later scaled up depending on the customer’s demand to replace solutions by foreign producers,” the representative said.
The Digital Development Ministry said F+ tech’s devices can be added to the register if they comply with the requirements.
A source told the daily that F+ tech’s working place is similar to the already existing Aurora-run gadgets, and their prospects are doubtful, because there has been no huge breakthrough in Aurora solutions over the recent years.
